2014 Golden Globe dresses for less

Hi Angels

If you are our friend on Facebook you saw us raving about some of the dresses the stars wore to the Golden Globes this past Sunday.  There were some hits and misses. Now we all know these gowns are couture and one of a kind pieces.  They are not what we wil find at our neighborhood Saks.

I decided to scour the net for someone's less expensive alternatives to the more memorable looks. Althought some are not exactly the same, they are in the same vain. Others are like rare pieces of art and  were not dupable in my opinion.

Those undupable looks were:
Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive (credit Facebook)
What can you say about this other than, perfection?

The other showstopper with no ugly sister was Dame Helen Mirren's gown.
Helen Mirren in Jenny Packham (credit elleuk):
Glamorous and age appropriate without being dowdy.  She rarely gets it wrong.

These are the dresses I found dupes for:

Margot Robbie wore Gucci to the Golden Globes(credit blogger):

How bout this number by Jovani?(jovani.com):

Kate Beckinsale was stunning in this Armani Prive':

Jovani also has a similar style in a different color:

The web was abuzz with Lena Dunham's appearance on the red carpet. The Zac Posen dress was a stunner whether you liked the body type wearing it or not. (Pic courtesy of Huffpost):
Hannah was serving face.  LOL.  You better werk!(a la RuPaul)

Here is a less expensive alternative by Jovani:

Last but not least is the Red Carpets latest muse.  The young starlet that everyone is clamoribg to dress. If you haven't seen 12 Years a slave meet one of the new faces of Miu Miu Lupita Nyong'o in Ralph Lauren. (Pic courtesy of eonline):
Everyone wanted to know who was going to dress her and what she was going to wear. Her look was PERFECTION and $7000 I might add!

Look at what your favorite Prescriber found for you.  ABS by Allen Schwartz at saks.com for $390:
Not bad huh?  I might have to bust open the piggy bank for this lil number.
These looks are perfect for prom or some gala event.

Well Angels, I hope you enjoyed this Golden Globe Dress special.  Let us know if you like them or found a better one.  Definitely let us know if you found something similar to Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren's gown. Don't be afraid to let us know if you think we missed a great look.

Aren't the SAG awards this weekend? LOL. I wonder what's in store for us fashion obsessed.

Until next time
Happy Haulin'
